Now, I hate new year resolutions as invariably I will have fucked them by 2nd January.
However, I am probably the heaviest I have ever weighed a need to lose at least 1 stone.
Because I have bad joints, what exercise is best for me? Swimming?
Anything fancy I can do - speed and come are not allowed. To speed up the fat loss process. Anything fun?

Spent around a grand on a mountain bike 3 years ago. Ridden it maybe 10 times. Is it road biking?

Burn off more calories than you eat and you will lose weight
Then stick to a healthy lifestyle and it stays off
Really can't understand why people need quick fix fad solutions

5/2 is a fat loss method that you will either think is the bollocks or a massive hazard to your health.
You eat for 5 days then starve for two.
Some suggest it boosts your metabolism although there's varying degrees of evidence to suggest this depending on who you believe.
A fitness freak I know was trying the starve load method whereby he eats nothing between 10pm and 1pm the following day, then eats all his meals in the loading period.
The truth is, eat reasonably healthily and exercise more than you currently do and you'll lose fat (weight is almost irrelevant).
